   TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS:
  • River Level: +2 ft above normal pool - 621ft
  • Water Temp: 65-68°F
  • Water Clarity: Stained / Murky
  • Weather:  65 - 85°F Overcast in morning turning to partly cloudy and warm in the afternoon
  • Wind: slight breeze in the morning 5-10mph & 15-20mph steady in the afternoon

     After a canceled Sardis Lake event, the Hog Hunters were off to Hudson for their 3rd Season Tourney.  On Friday, heavy thunderstorms rolled through northeaster Oklahoma and saturated the ground.  Moreover, they served to fill up many of the local lakes (including Hudson) in the area.  So, fisherman on Saturday were greeted with a lake that had come up 1.8 feet in elevation basically overnight.  All things considered, conditions were perfect for them biggin's to be a bitting in shallow water.  And, speaking for the team of Miller & Miller...  They were.    

     Congratulations are due to our Hudson Champions, Steve Sanders and Tom Korb, for bringing in a solid limit of fish weighing in at 16.44 lbs and thereby trumping our second place winners by a mere 0.04 lbs.  Second Place went to the Team #18 of Thompson and Brasswell for their five fish weighing 16.40 lbs.  Great Job Gentlemen!!  Less than one pound away from our top two was our Third Pace winners Tom Boone and Benny Boone.  This Father / Son Team brought in five beauties tipping the scales at 15.79 lbs.  Congratulations Tom & Benny!  Way to go...     

     The title of Big Bass was awarded to Thompson & Brasswell for their Largemouth weighing 5.47 lbs. What a fish!  And, 2nd Big Bass went to the team of Chuck Holmes and Jeff Bias for their 4.87 lbs.  Again...  Great showing! 

      Congratulations to all those mentioned above, and to everyone who fished for making this a fantastic tournament.  Looking forward continued success in 2011, and a fun tournament on Ft. Gibson next month.
