   TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS:
  • River Level: +8 ft above normal pool
  • Water Temp: 56 - 60°F
  • Water Clarity:  Stained / Merky
  • Weather:  55 - 75°F Partly cloudy and warm in the afternoon
  • Wind: slight breeze (morning) & 10 - 15mph constant (afternoon)

     Heavy rain showers the week of the April 30th caused Grand Lake to be 8ft above normal pool and still rising on the day of the Hog Hunters 2nd Tourney of the 2011 Season.  But, this day proved to be one for the record books with over 5 teams bringing 15+ pounds to the scales. 

     Congratulations are due to our Grand Lake Champions, Ken Hathcock & Tony Sheldon, for bringing in a huge limit tipping the scales just under the 20 pound mark (19.84 lbs).  Second Place went to the team of Miller and Miller with 18.86 lbs.  In addition Gary & Wade captured the title of Big Bass for the 7.12 lb beauty (seen on left).  What a toad!  Next in line was the team of Scot Sawyer & Shawn Atwell with a limit weighing in at 18.28 lbs.  And, finally on the heals of Sawyer and Attwell was the team of Chris Strickland and Steve Genzel at 18.27 lbs.  It was a close race for 2nd... wasn't it.

     2nd Big Bass also went to Chirs & Steve for their Largemouth at 5.73 lbs.  Again...  Great showing! 

      Congratulations to all those mentioned above, and to everyone who fished for making this a the a terrific tournament!  Next up is Hudson.  See you there...
