  • 2nd Day Weather:  50 - 65°F Mostly Cloudy with scattered showers
  • Wind: Slight South Breeze 

         The Hog Hunters 2009 Classic Tournament was one to be remembered.  During this weekend long outing anglers had to not only fish against the changing weather but many, many other anglers as well.  With the BASS Federation Tournament and the Hootie Open being held both Saturday and Sunday it goes without saying that open water and a spot to yourself was hard to come by. 

         Despite the increased fishing pressure from the extra fishermen, there were several Anglers who brought in solid limits of fish.  Our first place winners Bo Byers and his Sub Partner blew away all competition with a 2-day total of 29.35lbs.  On average this is 14lb+ per day.  And, you know what we call them days, "Ones' to remember."  2nd Place of our Hog Hunters Classic tournament was captured by Chad & Cade Speaks.  Chad and Cade rounded out the 2nd day with a grand total of 27.5lbs.  This team also took Big Bass Honors of the 2nd day with their 5.66lb largemouth.  Again, here's another example of how you spell consistency.  3rd place was taken by the team of Chuck Holmes and Jeff Bias with a combined weight of just under 23lbs. 

 

My congratulations goes to all our winners as mentioned above.  It truly was a pleasure fishing the 2009 season with each of you.  I'm excited about what the future holds, and the good times and great memories that are to be made in the upcoming 2010 season.  God Bless you guys...
