   Grand Lake was quite GRAND last weekend for the Hog Hunters Teams!  Notably, the season's 4th event brought in the more weight than any other to date in the 2008 season.  Nearly 160 lbs of fish were weighed! First Place, won by Roger Hughes and Bob Hedges, was achieved with a stunning weight of 20.61lbs.  WOW!!!  That's a Great day on the water!  Congratulations gentlemen.  Chet Burrows and Shawn Marlow took Second Place with a five fish limit weighing 14.9lbs. And, the team of Bret Sharp and Justin Sharp received Third with 13.98lbs.  It's important to note that Bret and Justin were also awarded Big Bass honors for their 6.16lb black bass.  What a fish!  Great job guys!!!

    The water color for Saturday's tournament was stained throughout most of the upper half of the lake and surface temps ranged between 60 - 70°F.  Thus, yet again, conditions were prime for the spawn.  From conversations with our winners it appears that the big fish were biting shad colored crankbaits on down lake points in depths of 7-10ft.  Again, Congratulations to our winners!

     The Next tournament will be held on June 7th at Lake Ft. Gibson.  The pre-tournament meeting will be at Exterran (Formerly "Hanover") at 7:00PM on June 4th. Please see above for directions to the meeting location.
