   Last Saturday's tournament at Greenleaf Lake was a day to remember.  Only on rare occasions are the weather conditions just right to catch fish all day long, however such was the case on Saturday.  All day rain and a slight breeze made up the perfect combination for a great topwater bite.  But, again the bass don't always act like they should, and so this day's fish were caught in deeper water.  

    Congratulations goes out to all the teams that managed to bring in solid limits of fish.  Especially Steve Sanders and Tom Korb who claimed first place with a total weight of 12.43 lbs.  Steve and Tom also captured the Big Bass Title with their 3.46 lb largemouth.  Next in line was Gary Stepp and Mike Dause with five fish weighing in a 11.98 lbs. John and Johnny Woods won third with 11.80 lbs .  Great Job Gentlemen!

    The water color for Saturday's tournament was clear / green throughout most of the lake.  Surface temps ranged between 75 - 85°F.  From conversations with some of our winners it seems that the better keepers were biting back off the bank in 10 - 20ft.  

     Our next tournament will be held on September 20th at the Navigation Channel.  The pre-tournament meeting be as normal at Bass Pro Shops at 7:00PM on June 25th.  Hope to see you there!
