   Saturday's tournament at Ft. Gibson Lake was a test of endurance.  Teams not only had the chore of figuring out how to make those lock-jawed fish bite; but they also had to deal with keeping the boat steady in 30 - 40 mph winds for the entire day.  Whew... What a work-out!  Anyways, my hat goes off to the teams that managed to bring in solid limits of fish to the scales.  Chet Burrows and Shawn Marlow claimed first place with a total weight of 11.62 lbs.  In addition, Burrows and Marlow received received Big Bass Honors with their 3.66 lbs black bass.  Congratulations Gentlemen.  Harold Harrell and sub took 2nd place with a five fish limit of 10.78 lbs.  And finally, the team of Roger Hughes and Bob Hedges won third place with 10.33 lbs.  Great Job guys!

    The water color for Saturday's tournament was stained throughout most of the lake due to the recent rains and high water.  Notably, Gibson was just over 8 feet above normal pool.  Surface temps ranged between 70 - 80°F.  From conversations with our winners it seems that some of the better keeper bass were biting in the backs of creeks in the river.  Again, I congratulate you both for finding good fish while others struggled. 

     Our next tournament will be held on June 28th at Hudson Lake.  The pre-tournament meeting be as normal at Bass Pro Shops at 7:00PM on June 25th.  Hope to see you there!
