The 2006 Hoghunters Tournament Trail presented by
Turnpike Transit and Jackie Cooper Nissan
has officially started. We had 62 teams
entered for the first qualifying event of
the 2006 season and 50 of those teams
brought fish to the scales. We had 27 teams
with 5 fish limits. The team of Barton and
Barton topped all teams with a 15lb
stringer, taking first place. The team of
Unger and Smith had the big bass of the
event, weighing in at 4lb 13oz. They did
take the test drive, which qualifies them to
be this year’s first entrant to the Jackie
Cooper Big Bass Giveaway. This was a pretty
cool deal last year, just ask Miller and
Miller.
The next Qualifying event will
be April 1st at Sardis. Our next
meeting will be held at the Zebco cafeteria
on March 28th at 6:30pm. Don’t
