Navigational Channel "The Ditch"

All I saw today was a snake that was as long as I was tall! I forgot what fish looked like till I got to weigh-in. I had a Carolina-rigged grenade all rigged up and ready, but I fish with the tournament director and he wouldn't let me throw it. Well conditions where anything, but perfect! Like always though someone found some fish. A total of 46 fish where caught & 102 lbs. total. That is  average weight of 2.21 lbs per fish. Makes you look forward to Gibson in July doesn't it! HaHa!

Sunny & Air Temperature 85 Degrees Winds out of the N @ 5 mph Water Clarity: River (upper end) was Muddy (some pockets had stained & Little Greenleaf was clear. Water Temperature: 73 Degrees Lures with most success: Salt Craws & Crankbaits (Nature colors seem to work best)
 


1st Place went to Powers/Renfro with 9.96
 


2nd Place went to Troxell/ Ray with 9.50
 


Big Bass went to Holmes/ Bias with a 4.38

 

River was dropping in the Afton pool. Most fished either the Afton pool or Little Greenleaf. Tough day of fishing for the majority.
